Yummy Thursday: Cream Cheese Brownies

Welcome to another Yummy Thursday!

(Please note: I am NO cooking expert. I play around in my kitchen and half the time something works and half the time it doesn't. The point is I appreciate food in a big way and just want to share that love with you. If you are looking for new Betty Crocker or Jamie Oliver style recipes... this is not your place to look. This is a place for just loving family friendly food.)
I made these delicious Cream Cheese Brownies yesterday, and I know they were good because they are already gone! My Hubby couldn't keep his hands off them. They were moist, cakey, and delicious! They also have crushed up chocolatte bars sprinkled on top which gives them a great bite and tastes super yummy too. I love brownies but really wanted a cream cheese element .... and this is what I came up with! Enjoy. :-)

Ingredients:

Brownie Mix:
2 cups Sugar
1 3/4 cups Plain Flour
1/2 cup Cocoa
1 tsp Salt
6 Eggs
1 cup Oil

Cream Cheese
Vanilla
Sugar

Crushed Chocolate bars or Choc Chips

To Make:

1. Mix all the brownie ingredients together with a hand whisk. You want to combine all the ingredients but not over mix them.

2. Mix together the cream cheese with some sugar and vanilla (to your own taste).

3. Spoon half of the brownie mix into your 9x13 inch baking tray.

4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over.

5. Smooth over the remaining half of the brownie mix. If the layers mix together a bit don't worry. It just gives it a pretty marbled look.

6. Crush up your chocolatte bars or use choc chips. (You can't get choc chips really in Germany so I always use chocolate bars... but the chunks you get as a result are really yummy!). Sprinkle over the mixture.

7. Bake at 350 degrees f (180 degrees c) for 30-40 minutes until set, but do not overcook. It should still be a little bit gooey. Leave to cool in the tray.

8. Eat and enjoy!
