Wednesday's Wonder: Wood You Like To Craft - Entrance Sign

So this month I joined the awesome new blog Wood You Like To Craft! It is run by 4 fantastic bloggers with the aim of giving a monthly woodwork project for people to follow along and make... and then to share in a link-up party!
wood you like to craft?

This month the project was hosted by Under My Umberella, a blog I have loved for some time! I was totally excited to join in... I have never worked with wood before and thought this would be a great way to push myself to give it a go and learn how. The first project was to come up with your own variation of this beautiful sign.

Wednesday's Wonder: Love Blocks

So if you have been wondering where I have been the last few days then I can proudly say that I have been squashed under a mountain of spring cleaning, which I have conquered at last! :-) I love the spring and I love the results that come from a proper spring clean. The Spring decorations are out, the cuboards are clean, and I feel very happy! I also started a detox diet yesterday to give myself a personal spring clean. I really love this time of the year! A time for fresh starts and a renewal of life.

So here is Wednesday's Wonder, a day late. Now that the house is out the way I can immerse myself in blogging bliss and return to my normal Humble Homemaking Schedule I hope! Thanks for being such wonderful, patient followers.

Yesterday I made these wooden blocks! I love how they came out and can't wait to make some more.

Wednesday's Wonder: Spring Wreath

I am well and truly desperate for Spring to arrive. The Snow has finally melted so I am just praying it doesn't return... and although I am freezing in my flat right now I have turned off the heating to try and encourage the sun to shine and warm things up. I wonder how long before my fingers get so cold I turn the heat back on! :-)

In my bid to bring the spring into bloom I picked this Spring Wreath project for today to cheer me up.

Wednesday's Wonder! - Hope Burlap Frames

Welcome to Wednesday's Wonder!

I wanted to create a set of 4 frames to hang on my feature wall this spring. Hope is a word which I associate with Spring as it is a time of the year for fresh starts and we remember the amazing message of Easter.
Hope also has 4 letters... so that helped!

This is what I came up with....

I am really happy with how they turned out.

Homemaking Monday: Spring Burlap Cushions

So I finally decided to join the burlap craze and make some cute cushions ready for spring. There is snow outside and it is freezing cold in my flat... but whatever.
I have Spring in my heart!

This is my first time working with burlap and I am very pleased with how it came out!

Wednesday's Wonder: Reversible Mousemat.

My Mousemat is years old and was just a plain boring thing to begin with.
After several years of use it is just a dirty, plain, boring thing.
I wanted to spruce it up a bit and this is what I came up with:

Homemaking Monday: Breakfast Tray Tutorial (Cutting Vinyl By Hand)

Welcome to Homemaking Monday! I'm really excited to share today's project with you all. Now that Valentines is pretty much over I am starting to think about Spring. In the Spring I love to have breakfast in bed with my Hubby... with fresh clean sheets, the windows open with the sound of the birds singing, and something yummy to share with my Man. I have an old tray we bought ages ago now and I thought it would be fun to Jazz it up ready for the coming months.

This is what I came up with....

I may be biased, but I totally love it!

Scrap Fabric Valentines Project: Tutorial

This morning I was feeling so inspired and motivated thanks to all of your lovely comments that I pulled out some scrap fabric and an old picture frame to get the creative juices going. This is what I came up with:

Just a very simple, very quick project. I liked the way it turned out so thought I would turn it into my first ever tutorial!

Kiss me, hug me, tell me that you love me!

Here are some little cushions whipped up for Valentines Day this year. I am VERY new to sewing but had a picture in my head of what I wanted, so set about trying to achieve it.
